Reach out to your system administrator and confirm the following:
- The /ifs directory you are connecting Layar to has HTTP Access enabled*
- Your user account has been given the
ISI_PRIV_NS_IFS_ACCESS privilege for the specific /ifs directory you are connecting to Layar**
* HTTP Access: To enable and configure HTTP for your Isilon server, review Dell's OneFS Web Administration Guide here.
** User Privileges: To learn more about these privileges and the OneFS API, see Dell's Isilon API documentation here.
Log in to your Layar instance (your-instance.vyasa.com/layarweb).
On the left-hand menu, find the "Data Fabric" section. Click on the '+' icon to the right of the "Data Fabric section.
*Note: Once you have added a connector, you can also click the "+" icon on the "Connector" section as well.
Select the "Dell EMC Isilon" option from the list of connectors.
Fill in the Name of the Isilon directory, a Description, the URL to the /ifs directory, and your Isilon user ID and password credentials.
Click Start Importing.
Layar will immediately begin importing data from your connector. Depending on the size of the directory, the time to completion can vary from seconds to a few hours. If you are having difficulty adding a connector, please reach out to email@example.com. We would be happy to assist you!
